Thursday night at “Club 1509”
Club 1509, Located on E. 8th
Avenue in Tampa Bay’s historic Ybor City, is one of the areas hottest Thursday
night party spots. Because 1509 isn’t located directly on Ybors’ world famous 7th
Ave strip, it is not by mere chance that someone walks through the doors of
this nighttime hot spot.
We found the entire staff, from door guys to bartenders and bouncers at 1509 all to be both
courteous and fun. We’re not saying that they are going to stop and shoot
the breeze with you. This is far to busy an establishment for idle conversation.
The attitudes and personalities of the staff do however make the experience
of wading through a thick crowd of happy-go-lucky partiers a tad bit more
tolerable.
We have noticed that the
attitude of an establishment’s patrons generally reflects that of the clubs
staff and Club 1509, we believe proves our theory to be true. On a
Thursday night when the majority of a club’s patrons are made up of power
drinkers, this establishment was still able to maintain an heir of class. One
of the remarkable differences we noticed on our Thursday night visit to this
club was the obvious absence of tension and bad attitudes. From the moment we
walked in the door we realized that this club, unlike a few others in the area
wasn’t the type of place people go to hoping for confrontation but instead one
of the places where all the beautiful people go to unwind and get a jump start
on the weekend.
The club has a sound and
lighting set up that allows you to lose yourself in the music but not so
overwhelmingthat you can’t hold conversation with that special someone
or flavor of the night. For those who are not really into the mainstream techno
(Thursdays) or Latin (Fridays) there is a smaller booty / hip-hop room located
at the main entrance of the club. This venue does not play host to a lot of
seating but then again by the looks of the crowd they didn’t come here to sit.
So if you’re ready to hang with a crowd that is out to let loose and enjoy life
this is the spot 
for you.
Club 1509 provides a very comfortable and energetic atmosphere that can only be accredited to its management and staff. This club is an all around good time and we look forward to our next visit.
